I wanted to love this hotel. Unfortunately, it was a mediocre stay. I didn't feel safe in my hotel room. I arrived to my room to find the back door to the outside was unlocked as well as the adjoining room door was unlocked. I locked them both after discovering this. Traveling as a single woman it was a bit unnerving.
The entire evening and next 24 hours the tv from the next door neighbors could be heard and the poor lady hacked and coughed the entire night. I felt bad for her....the walls are so thin I could hear their phone conversations as well as everything else. Meanwhile early this morning the alarm clock in the other room next to me had no residents but the alarm clock started beeping which lasted quite a few hours before it finally stopped. I had hope the stay here would be peaceful and restful. Also, if you have walking limitations, be sure to ask for a ground floor room. The hotel does not have an elevator. Unfortunately, the stay was not peaceful or restful..... Positives- the bed was comfortable.
The rooms are nice and simple. Mine did not have a bath. Shower only. I really wanted a bath. It was a work trip so I didn't pick the place. Good location as far at downtown and highway access. Staff super friendly and professional. Property was clean. Even with no tub I would stay again
We live in Eugene, have never stayed in Roseburg. Had a very important Dr appt and wanted to come a day early to make sure we knew where we were going. Come to find out we were blocks away. Convenient to everything. Staff is so friendly and helpful. River view is relaxing. Rooms are clean and breakfast is simple and easy. Loved it! We will be back.
December 11, 2023: It was our 5th wedding anniversary. I booked a night here, last minute. Mary and Melissa took care of everything; a dozen pink roses and a bottle of wine in the room when we arrived. Check in was promptly done.
The room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The bed was so awesomely comfortable. The view from the balcony overlooking the river was spectacular and made for a romantic ambiance as we drank our wine and and enjoyed our time together throughout the evening.
I would like to personally thank Mary and Melissa for going above and beyond to help with making our anniversary such a wonderful experience.
Will I visit Roseburg again?...most likely, Will we stay at Riverfront Inn: ABSOLUTELY 💯 %
Highly recommend Riverfront Inn to stay.
AND We also recommend for an awesome dining experience: the True Kitchen & Pub; an excellent fine dining experience...
As newlyweds after our wedding, we arrived to check in only to find a sign on the door saying someone was out on the property and would be back later. We waited outside for 40 minutes for anyone to show up. When the front desk lady finally came she didn't seem to care that we had been waiting, showed no emphathy and did not offer any kind of discount or at least congratulations for the wedding. The pictures of the hotel look nothing like the location and it's actually in a pretty sketchy area. The toilet was broken and the shower could take paint off a wall it was so high pressure. The heater was so loud that every time it turned on throughout the night it woke us up, and we got almost no sleep. The only reason I'm giving this place more than one star is because the view of the river is nice. However, Holiday Inn is right next door and has just as good a view so I would advise anyone to avoid this place and just go there.
We stayed here for 1 night to attend .38 Special concert at Douglas County Fairgrounds. It takes a lot to impress me and this place was fantastic. Mary, Steven and Austin provided great service. The breakfast had a nice assortment for a quick snack. The pool was refreshing. We would stay here again. I recommend going to Denny's late at night for some extra entertainment. 🤣
Wow! What an incredibly beautiful view. It was so peaceful to walk around the property and sit on my balcony and look at the river. The pictures I took look more like paintings because it was so gorgeous. The room was very spacious too. …
My wife booked this place since her grandfather and I were travelling to Seattle this week. I pulled up and thought maybe she was ready to collect the life insurance money. It was dark and foggy by the time we pulled in, and it seemed like a good place to get human trafficked or into a knife fight.
I went into the front office and the person at the front desk was super friendly and fast, so I figured I just had the wrong first impression. About 30 minutes into getting all of our stuff into the room, I hear the people next door yelling at each other about how the daughter was a meth head who can't take care of the dog or baby? About an hour in I was hopeful it would pass, but they kept going. I could hear them over the heater and TV on, luckily my Grandfather in law is hard of hearing and wasn't complaining. About 90 minutes of trying to fall asleep with no luck hearing about the meth head daughter, I call the front desk and let them know what's going on. I hear the phone ring in the other room and some grumbling, talking stops, and I think all is well.
Well no so fast, I think the meth head daughter either had the room upstairs from us or the other room on our other side, because someone started slamming their feet on the ground. It also sounded like a 60 pound dog was River Dancing across the room upstairs all night. I wanted to complain to change rooms, but my grandfather in law was fast asleep so I figured maybe it was just me.
Anyway we get up and bail at 6:30 in the morning. I think if you are hard of hearing you should be fine, or maybe they just had some bad tenants that night, but overall it's the second worst hotel experience I have had, the other was in Tampa and involved some blood from the previous person who stayed there.
